Sea Glass Setting Pendants with Jess

Sea Glass Setting Pendants with Jess

During this class I will teach you how to use traditional Silversmithing tools correctly and safely to create a silver bezel cup to house a piece of sea glass. This can then be made into either a ring or pendant. There is opportunity to texture, stamp and add different polishing and finishing techniques to your piece, depending on how you design your unique piece of jewellery.

As there is a lot to get through in this particular class, I would advise that you have been to at least one of my beginners classes or similar before joining Sea Glass Setting. Having some experience using a piercing saw and blow torch to solder will help you make the most of the class and create a beautifully finished piece.

Materials are included to set a piece of glass up to 1.5cm in size. If you would like to set a piece bigger than that, please contact me prior to the class to arrange additional silver. You can bring along your own piece of glass or choose from my collection. Please note, not all shapes of glass are suitable to be set but you will be advised on this during the class - You can always e-mail me before the class if you have any questions!

Tea, Coffee and biscuits are provided but please bring along some lunch if attending a day class.

All classes are an absolute maximum of 6 students, so there is lots of one-to-one support.

Ages 16+ only for group classes.
